Supt, Training - Nuc Ops

JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
Manages the execution of the Operations Training program functions, provides overall direction, planning and performance of Operations Training group activities to ensure achievement of budget goals, and integrates Operations Training activities into plant operations to ensure safe, reliable, cost efficient operation.
JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides organizational guidance, direction, leadership, and planning for Operations training related activities.
Interfaces with the Operations Manager to determine how training resources can best be applied to improve Operations performance.
Identifies training needs, contracts support, budget preparation, and oversight for training departmental corrective action, training, and work activities as related to Operations Training.
Works effectively with the Management Team setting priorities, allocating resources, and driving to operational leadership. Establishes an environment which fosters a strong safety culture.
Ensures training provided to site personnel reinforces these principles. Gathers data, makes recommendations and decisions for complex problems. Has strong oral and written communication skills, strong management and leadership skills, and strong teamwork and problem solving skills.
Ensures compliance with applicable requirements, regulations, procedures, and specifications. Serves as a member of the emergency response organization.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Minimum education required of the position
B.S. in Education, Engineering, or a related technical degree or equivalent work experience.
Minimum experience required of the position
Desired: 2 years previous experience as a supervisor.
Desired: 10 years of commercial nuclear power plant training or operations experience.
Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position
Awareness and understanding of federal regulations associated with initial and continuing license operator training, simulator testing and fidelity, and NRC examination development. Technical proficiency in training and an understanding of the systematic approach to training. Desired: Broad technical understanding of nuclear generation principles and operation. Established relationships with the NRC and INPO. Proficiency with current computer based applications.
Any certificates, licenses, etc. required for the position
SRO or certification on BWR or PWR.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
