Health Physics Spec, Sr (Nuc)

JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
Maintain control over area of responsibility. Maintain control over assigned core function that could include: Radiation Protection Programs, including Instrumentation, Respiratory Protection, Radiological Engineering, Dosimetry, Radioactive Materials Shipping & other associated Radiation Protection Programs.
JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Propose time saving improvements and work methods. Develop long term planning and provide support for software and equipment repair/replacement in area of expertise.
Develop and revise procedures in accordance with current regulatory and administrative requirements. Enhance communications by performing a liaison function between various work groups.
Communicate with peer at other stations within fleet to promote standardization. May serve as Contract Manager and Software Manager.
Review/generate reports in area of expertise. Review documents generated within the department and by contractors within area of expertise.
Interface with the corrective action program and regulatory and industry representatives on behalf of station activities. Communicate technical information, concepts, and ideas verbally and in writing.
May serve on HazMat Team. May serve as a member of the Emergency Response Organization. Provides on-the-job training and guidance to less experienced Specialists.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Minimum education required of the position
B.S. Degree in Chemistry/Health Physics or related technical degree may be credited for up to 4 years of experience, or equivalent work experience.
Minimum experience required of the position
3 - 5 years commercial or military nuclear experience. Desired: At least 5 years experience in the associated discipline.
Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position
Technical proficiency in the assigned area. Technical understanding of nuclear generation principles and operation. Desired: Proficiency with current computer business applications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
