Fuel Services Technician 3/C, 2/C, 1/C & Master (Nuc)

FUEL SERVICES TECHNICIAN 1st, 2nd, 3rd CLASS, & Master ? NUCLEAR
A. JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Under close and/or directive supervision, with little latitude for planning or laying out of working details, must be able to perform simple reactor disassembly/reassembly, dry fuel storage, and fuel handling activities, irradiated component handling and maintenance associated with equipment/tooling for the aforementioned activities, and be qualified to do the following and related work as assigned:
Performs reactor disassembly and reassembly activities.
Performs dry fuel storage activities.
Performs pre and post outage activities related to the outage refuel path.
Operates fuel handling equipment in the reactor and fuel handling buildings to support fuel movements and irradiated component handling.
Performs preventative and corrective maintenance on reactor disassembly/reassembly, fuel handling, and dry fuel storage equipment/tooling.
Performs technical reviews of procedures and other plant documents.
Supports dry fuel and refueling (pre-outage, outage, and post outage) activities across the fleet approximately 50% of the year.
Perform necessary housekeeping as per applicable Nuclear Regulatory Commission endorsed regulations and standards.
Comply with established procedures and with rules of Code of Federal Regulations, Nuclear Regulatory Commission regulatory guides, National Standards and other regulatory agencies.
B. EXPERIENCE AND SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have worked as Helper - Nuclear or have had equivalent experience in refuel or dry fuel work.
Previous Work Experience:
3rd Class
Must have at least one year's experience in refuel or dry fuel or related work.
Must have worked as Helper Nuclear or have had equivalent experience in refuel or dry fuel work.
2nd Class
Must have worked at least one year as a Fuel Services Technician 3rd Class Nuclear or have had equivalent experience in electrical work.
Must have at least two years' experience in refuel or dry fuel or related work.
1st Class
Must have worked at least two years as a Fuel Services Technician 2nd Class.
Must have at least four years' experience in refuel or dry fuel or related work.
Master
Must have worked at least two years as a Fuel Services Technician 1st Class Nuclear or have had equivalent experience in electrical work.
Must have at least six years' experience in refuel or dry fuel or related work.
Have a general knowledge of reactor disassembly/reassembly, dry fuel storage, and fuel handling activities, irradiated component handling and maintenance associated with equipment/tooling for the aforementioned activities.
Be familiar with the elementary principles of rigging and material handling, electrical terminations, and torqueing.
Be familiar with the strength and use of ropes, chains, cables, etc., as used in rigging.
Gain proficiency in the use of and nomenclature of tools and equipment ordinarily used.
Be familiar with the operation and function of refuel and dry fuel equipment, etc.
Be thoroughly familiar with Company's electrical and mechanical tagging rules.
Have the ability to understand and perform simple operations of average complexity and variety where standard methods of procedure are available.
Know the Company's safety rules, and be able to administer all approved methods of resuscitation, and be able to render practical first aid.
Know the location of, and be able to operate, all of the firefighting equipment. Know what kind of equipment to use on electrical, oil, and other fires.
C. PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Be particularly alert in observing hazards and avoiding accidents.
Be willing to attend and take part in safety meetings.
Be willing to work under unusual surroundings, as well as the normal working conditions pertaining to this job.
Be willing to work irregular or extra hours as required.
Be able to receive and transmit orders and instructions in such a manner as to inspire respect and confidence of both superiors and subordinates.
Have a temperament suited to jobs where manual dexterity, precision and patience are particularly essential.
Be especially neat, clean and orderly in work and person.
Understand importance of always rendering and maintaining first class, courteous service to all customers.
Must be able to travel to other sites approximately 50%.
Company Testing:
Successful completion of EEI MASS test.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
